Liability and Release for each Group or Single Rental
I hearby release any liability of bodily injury or property damage that may occur while transporting &/or floating with Devils Elbow River Safari. All lost or damaged property rented or used from Devils Elbow River Safari is at the owner’s discretion if obvious abuse of the floating Device, Equipment, Campground or River Courtesy.
• Give other floaters their space.
• Dispose of all trash inside proper receptacles – NO GLASS ALLOWED
• Respect private property, when floating or using river access. (PURPLE means Private Property) Leave only tracks and take only photos.
River Safety:
There are not lifeguards or safety personnel either on the river or at the campground. There is always the risk of accidents, serious injuries or drowning. All river activities are risk sports. We recommend that everyone wear life jackets in or on the water. DO NOT TIE ONTO OTHERS ESPECIALLY THE RAFTS and Tubes. Damages result into large fees. YOUR GET OUT SPOT IS SHORTLY AFTER THE TRAIN TRUSSEL BRIDGE AND ORANGE BALL IN THE AIR TO THE LEFT. IT WILL COST YOU A EXTRA $20 PER BRIDGE THAT YOU PASS IF YOU MISS YOUR GET OUT SPOT per floating vessel.
MUST BE IN AND OFF THE RIVER BY 7PM
I understand all the above conditions and have fully read the replacement sheet and agree to have a good time. Be in by 7pm or the fee is $5. For every minute after per floating device. Raft hole replacement range from $200-$700. Depending on size of damages.$2000-$3000. For replacement of rafts not returned. Canoe damage range from $50-$400. And $2000. for replacement of Canoe not returned. Kayak damage range from$75-$300.00 and up to $1500. for replacement if not returned. Tube replacements $30.each if not returned, come back deflated or torn. Canoe Paddle replacement $80. Kayak Paddle replacement $150. Life Jacket Replacement $20-$50. ALSO there is no tying to each other for SAFETY reasons & this may also causes damage that will result in a fee replacement up to $1000.. ALSO do NOT tie the trash bag on to your vessel.
DEVILS ELBOW RIVER SAFARI AND CAMPGROUND ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR RIVER OR CAMPGROUND SAFETY. I UNDERSTAND THE ABOVE CONDITIONS AND AGREE TO FLOAT AT MY OWN LEAISURE AND HAVE A GREAT TIME WHILE FLOATING OR VISITING THE DEVILS ELBOW RIVER SAFARI AND CAMPGROUND.

Notes & Policies:
Check-In & parking for the day is at the Red Cabin, located at 12000 Timber Road, Devils Elbow, MO (see map below)
Take-Off Times are at 9am, 10:30am & Noon Only
You can not float unless a signed waiver form has been collected by a DERS&C Employee for EACH floater
Canoes, rafts, kayaks, and tubes must be returned and off the water before 7pm on the day rented or subject to extra fees
Floating rates include life vests, paddles, trash bags and portage to our put-in locations. Take-Out spot is at the campground.
Fees will be assessed for all lost paddles, life vests or floating devices
Children under the age of 7 must wear a life jacket at all times while on board a watercraft
NEW MISSOURI LAW: No glass, beer bongs, kegs or styrofoam coolers
Registered paid guests will be provided with color coded wristbands to be worn while camping with us, riding shuttle buses, and during all float trips on certain days.
Due to safety concerns, children under 2 years old will not be allowed to float
Rain Policy: Should it be raining the morning of your scheduled float trip and is still raining at 12 noon, you will be issued a rain check for the date of your choice based upon availability. No refunds.
Highwater/Flood Policy: We do not float if the determination is made by state officials of management that ricer levels are beyond safe canoeing, kayaking or rafting standards. Should this occur, a raincheck will be issued
While on the river there is inherent risk that personal awareness and commonsense can reduce. Never attempt a float trip while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. We ask that you use our canoes, rafts, kayaks and equipment with the same degree of care as if they were your own.
In the event a canoe or raft is damaged beyond normal wear and tear, then we expect to be reimbursed appropriately in relation to the damage. If you abandon your canoe or raft or it is lost or stolen, you will be asked to pay for it. We charge for lost or abandon paddles and life vest.
Absolutely no pets are allowed in rafts or tubes
Do not tie trash bags onto others & please throw your trash in the dumpster upon leaving the campground

Day Guest/Visitor’s Pass: Day passes available for $5 per person to swim & fish
All personal blow up floating devices must be pre-aired or aired up at the river by you. All extra floating devices must be communicated to management before the day of the float.
Please Note: We are still under construction from the November 2024 flood. Please be patient with us while we rebuild.
NEW the 2025 Season:
All floating fees need to be paid in full when booking your reservation
Cancellation Policy:
A 100% deposit is required for camping, lodging, floating and group packages to guarantee your reservation.
On non-holiday weekends/weekdays, if you cancel 14 days prior to your reservation date we will refund your deposit minus a $30 processing fee.
On holiday weekends, you will need to cancel 21 days prior to your reservation date for a refund minus a $30.00 processing fee.
If you cancel your reservation any time AFTER the stated cancellation deadlines listed above this will result in the full deposit amount forfeited. If river flooding is an issue and it is not float-able there will not be a refund for the boat reservation. Your deposit will go on a rain check good for one year.
